Maintenance Program

The resurfaced areas are low maintenance, only needing a clean down from time to time. Weeds cannot grow through and there is no buckling and uneven levels that can occur with block pavers. The areas should be resealed once every couple of years to ensure they remain in immaculate condition.

The Resurfacing Process

Existing surfaces are overcoated with a 2-5mm spray on, slip reducing, cementitious compound. The surface is applied by trowelling down the base coat which serves to smooth and prime the surface, as well as form the grout colour. The pattern ie grout lines, is achieved by masking the area with special concrete stencil over which the top coat is sprayed. This forms the main portion of the surface and colour. It may be finished in any number of ways from rough to rustic or smooth. Finally, two coats of sealer are applied to protect the finish.

The preparation and mixing of materials has to be done perfectly using weights and measure however the attention to detail in the process guarantees a stunning finish for every job. Most projects can be completed within four to five days.
